TenneT is a driving force behind the energy transition and, as grid operator, is committed to connecting sustainable energy at low costs with minimal impact on the environment. All our activities must take the interests of nature and society into account. At TenneT we pay a great deal of attention to the question: what impact does our work have on nature and on society?
Good ideas are generated together
Our high-voltage lines and substations are located throughout the Netherlands and Germany, often in nature reserves, which means they have an impact on nature, people and the environment. At the same time, TenneT depends on nature, which provides visual shielding, noise insulation and safe areas around our substations. We encourage our employees and partners to do their utmost for nature, people and the environment.
This map provides an overview of initiatives realised by TenneT. Not because they are required to by legislation or regulations, but because TenneT is genuinely involved with people and nature in the areas where we work. Curious about our initiatives? Then take a look at the map!Green Map
