Our grid

TenneT manages the high-voltage grid in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany. TenneT transmits electricity at 110,000 volts (110 kV) and higher. With around 23,000 kilometres of high-voltage lines, we cross borders and connect countries.

Vooraankondiging congestiegebied

Het verwachte congestiegebied, periode en oorzaak

TenneT verwacht structureel congestie in het gebied in de driehoek Eemshaven, Bergum en Zwolle in de loop van 2017 t/m 2021. De verwachte congestie wordt veroorzaakt door de marktomstandigheden. Deze zijn anders dan voorzien in de capaciteitsplanning en zorgen er voor dat de transportbehoefte groter is dan de transportcapaciteit. 

Wat is het gecontracteerde en beschikbare transportvermogen?

In het genoemde congestiegebied is het totale gecontracteerde transportvermogen 6340 MW. Het totale beschikbare transportvermogen bedraagt circa 5000 MW, rekening houdend met enkelvoudige storingsreserve.

De planning van de netverzwaring

De structurele oplossing is de realisatie van het project Noord-West380kV fase 1. Dit betreft de verbinding tussen de 380kV-stations Eemshaven-Oudeschip en Vierverlaten. Volgens de huidige planning zal het congestiegebied in 2021 worden opgelost.

Onderzoek

TenneT doet onderzoek naar het kunnen toepassen van congestiemanagement in het genoemde gebied volgens de Netcode Elektriciteit artikel 4.2.5.5. De uitkomst van het onderzoek wordt via onze website gepubliceerd.
