Tim Meyerjürgens appointed as COO in Executive Board TenneT

Downloads & Contact

Tim Meyerjürgens (1975) has been appointed as Chief Operations Officer (COO) in the Executive Board of TenneT Holding BV, next to Ben Voorhorst. Tim will take over from Wilfried Breuer, who will leave the company as per 1 April for a new position at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen in Regensburg.

Following an intensive selection process, the Supervisory Board has nominated Tim Meyerjürgens to the Dutch shareholder as statutory director (COO) in TenneT Holding BV. As this formal procedure is likely to take some time and because business continuity is key, the Executive Board decided to appoint Tim Meyerjürgens as a director per 1 March 2019.

Both the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board are delighted to have successfully found an internal candidate. With 23 years of experience in the energy sector, Tim Meyerjürgens has a broad technical and operational expertise that he has successfully deployed in large projects, particularly offshore. On top of this, it was an explicit wish of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board to appoint a director at TenneT Holding B.V. who works and lives in Germany.

In the coming period, Tim Meyerjürgens and Wilfried Breuer will work closely together for a careful handover.
