TenneT to adjust top management structure

Downloads & Contact

Effective 1 January 2019 the new TenneT Holding BV Executive Board will consist of four directors: Manon van Beek (CEO), Otto Jager (CFO) and two COO's, Ben Voorhorst and Wilfried Breuer. In this way the governance structure will provide more clarity for the Supervisory Board and the layers below the Executive Board.

The new governance structure is related to the ongoing process of revising TenneT's strategy and the further leadership development to realize TenneT's future ambitions.

Wilfried Breuer is leaving TenneT on 1 April 2019

The nomination of Wilfried Breuer as COO of TenneT will only be temporarily as he has decided to pursue a position as technical director of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) in Regensburg. MR is active in power engineering and a world leading supplier of components for power transformers. Wilfried’s talents and competences will therefore be retained in the high voltage power industry and as such also a little bit for TenneT. TenneT is grateful to Wilfried for his substantial contributions and dedication. He will continue to work with TenneT in the first quarter of 2019 whilst the search for his successor has already been started.

Wilfried Breuer joined TenneT in 2012 after an impressive career with Siemens. Since 2014 Wilfried has been part of the Executive Board, and he demonstrated his capabilities and leadership skills in Asset Management and Grid Services.

Lex Hartman steps down from Executive Board

As the position of non-statutory director in TenneT Holding B.V. will cease to exist, Lex Hartman will step down from the Executive Board and also relinquish his responsibilities as statutory director of TenneT TSO B.V. and TenneT TSO GmbH. TenneT is very grateful to Lex for his major contributions in the Executive Board to the development of TenneT. In the first half of 2019, Lex will remain involved in TenneT as strategic advisor to the Board.

Lex started his career at TenneT in 1999. During his long tenure, he held various positions. Since 2008, Lex was part of the Executive Board of TenneT Holding BV and since 2010 of TenneT TSO GmbH. Next to that Lex is director at NLink International BV and BritNed Development Ltd.
