The new governance structure is related to the ongoing process of revising TenneT's strategy and the further leadership development to realize TenneT's future ambitions.
Wilfried Breuer is leaving TenneT on 1 April 2019
The nomination of Wilfried Breuer as COO of TenneT will only be temporarily as he has decided to pursue a position as technical director of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) in Regensburg. MR is active in power engineering and a world leading supplier of components for power transformers. Wilfried’s talents and competences will therefore be retained in the high voltage power industry and as such also a little bit for TenneT. TenneT is grateful to Wilfried for his substantial contributions and dedication. He will continue to work with TenneT in the first quarter of 2019 whilst the search for his successor has already been started.
Wilfried Breuer joined TenneT in 2012 after an impressive career with Siemens. Since 2014 Wilfried has been part of the Executive Board, and he demonstrated his capabilities and leadership skills in Asset Management and Grid Services.
