We are primarily tasked with providing power transmission services, system services and facilitating the energy market. Our core tasks follow from our appointment as grid operator under the Dutch 'Elektriciteitswet' (E-wet) and the German 'Energiewirtschaftsgesetz' (EnWG).
Renewable Energy Source Act (EEG)
The Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG as amended in 2000) came into force on1 April 2000 and replaced the Electricity Feed Act (StrEG) which had been in force since 1991 as the political energy instrument for the support of electricity generation from renewable energy sources in Germany.
