TenneT Holding B.V. has launched a Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme in 2010. The EMTN programme enables TenneT Holding B.V. to issue Euro Medium Term Notes. The current programme size is EUR 8 billion. The Dutch regulator for the Financial Markets (AFM) has approved the prospectuses which are valid for 1 year following the date of approval.
In 2015 TenneT published a Green Bonds Framework which serves as a structure for verifying the sustainability quality of the projects to be financed through the issuance of green debt instruments. The Framework was prepared in collaboration with oekom Research AG.

TenneT informs its stakeholders about the progress of the financed projects via annual Green Bond reports.
Moody's Investors Service has performed a "Green Bond Assessment" on bonds issued pursuant to TenneT Holding B.V. Euro Medium Term Note Programme and existing Green Bond Framework. Moody's has assigned a GB1 ("Excellent") rating which is the highest rating on its five-point scale.
